Happy Birthday Big Brother*****

Was going to get you a cake but couldn't find the right topper. jesus one is close but couldn't find one with virgin mary on the back. Then she had this idea.................

New motorcycle legislature.

Hope that arnold stays off the pipe and doesn't enact new laws based on this illustration from 1971 easyriders.

Creation Cave

My own little piece of the world exists in this garage. $3 mexican flag chairs add to the southern california charm. Soon to be filled with more parts and vehicles (rusty ol' orange truck coming soon).Made some progress on clutch rebuild. A couple parts from here and a few parts from there and looks complete.Recycled turkey basting pan finding second life as oil pan, lol. Zero budget build coming along, working on getting engine dialed in by the end of the month.fingers crossed.

Preferred Parking

#1 and #2 and I hit the Easyriders show in pomona today. Found choice parking behind the most obvious vehicle in the parking lot (notice green pos behind smooth vannin' machine). Otherwise I could have been looking for the car for hours. not into crowds or huge parking lots, fooled the boys as they thought we were at Disneyland! My reply was" NO, better!"At the end of the day they both thought it was better than disneyland.probably because they didn't have to wait hours in line for a ride that lasts minutes.Snapped a couple pics Brown bomber and another that caught my eye.Of course my oldest said "whats that car doing at a motorcycle show?".I didn't know either. The P diggers were there both plum and pink and held down a choice corner spot not far from the hippy killer, dbcustomleather, and primos helmet design spot.

TGIF-Till i Get It Finished

This morning, coffee and sunshine warming up the garage.Must be a sign that good things are coming.

Last night got the oldest to start some scrubbing he had been begging to come out every 5 minutes. He didn't want to help clean the garage just wanted to play with the bikes. Getting a 10 year old to drop the video game.....priceless.He has even done some illustrating thanks to some chopper build it yourself drawings posted by the Biltwell guys awhile ago.Off to a good start so far.

At least now I have befriended the king of sohc, I'm sure I will be needing some help in the not to distant future.

Nothing much going on besides recuperating from holidays and getting knee deep into sohc territory. the more research I've done the more I appreciate what I have in my garage. pretty revoloutionary in their time.been reading some service manuals and getting aquainted as I got my work cut out for me! The more I look the more I see how popular these were in the early 70's as it was what to get for get up and go. Training wheels are starting to work out nice.pic taken from pinhead lounge.like the painted case for some reason just different I guess with the abuse of kcalb.
